Weekly Teaching “Being a True Light in Love and in Works” Have you ever took the time to ask yourself what is salvation? When I was growing up as a child church was not forced upon me, my mother allowed me to “be me”. As I grew up the streets served as my teacher. I did not have a positive role model in my life. My grandparents helped my mother to raise me. I can recall seeing my grandmother praying and calling out names. At that time, I did not understand what she was doing but I once heard a songwriter say... “somebody prayed for me...!”. I remember it just like it was yesterday when  I  first walked through the door of Solomon’s Temple. I had no clue of what God had in store for me! I repented for my sins and was baptized in the of Name Lord Jesus Christ. That was February 16, 1997.                                           , speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gave the utterance on March 24, 1997 I hope this sheds some light on the question of what is salvation. In this day and time, salvation has  so many different meanings . I will provide teaching supported by Scripture that clearly spell out the true meaning of salvation. God bless, Elder Larry Ireland Repenting:  Repentance is godly sorrow for sins committed. It is the confession and turning to God for forgiveness. 2 Corinthians 7:8-10 Water Baptism:  Acts 2:38,39, Colossians 2:12, Romans 6: 4,5 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. 9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit:                                          1 Corinthians 12: 13 Romans 8:9 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. We have covered the three steps that leads to salvation. I hope this teaching, thus far, has been a blessing to you. I will be teaching more about this subject in the weeks to come.  God bless! The Three Steps to Salvation! The baptism of the Holy Spirit places you in the Church.             Our English term baptism comes from the Greek “Baptizo” which means to dip, plunge or immerse beneath a liquid. Baptism is an identification with Christ in His burial. I received the Holy Spirit
